If you are looking for a hilarious, rib tickling break to your weekend, then all you need is 39 Steps Broadway tickets. This hilarious adaptation of John Buchan’s classic spy thriller was also made into a film in 1935 by Alfred Hitchcock.

The play has merely four actors performing 150 different roles all through the play. The play is about an innocent man who finds himself caught in the midst of a dangerous spy ring. He learns too much about the spy ring and is thereafter chased across Scotland, before finally returning to London to put a stop to the villain’s plans.

The play convincingly manages to recapture original thrilling scenes as in the award winning movie. Scenes like the first staged theatrical bi-plan crash, the escape on the Forth Bridge, chase on the Flying Scotsman, and the sensational death-defying end on the London Palladium.

39 Steps Broadway tickets are selling like hot cakes and why should they not? The play keeps you on the edge of your seats due to its antics and keeps you laughing throughout. It is a tongue-in-cheek comedy that keeps you wanting for more.

The play first staged by North Country Theater in April 1996 at the Georgian Theater, North Yorkshire was directed by Fiona Buffini. Before its Broadway premier, the production received its American debut at the Huntington Theater Company in Boston, from September 2007 to October 2007. It also won the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

39 Steps opened in New York at the American Airlines Theater on January 15, 2008 (now playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre). Adapted by Patrick Barlow, 39 Steps is directed by Maria Aitken and is based on the original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on John Buchan’s book.

Doing a brilliant job at keeping everyone glued to their seats are; Arnie Burton and Cliff Saunders (they play the Clowns in the play), Charles Edwards (who plays Richard Hannay) and Jennifer Ferrin (who plays Pamela / Margaret).

39 Steps promises to delight its viewers and leave its audiences with a thrilling experience. The fact that there are only four actors on stage playing out 150 different characters one after the other keeps the audience in splits from the start to the finish.

The play is about an innocent man who gets caught in a web when he gets intrigued by a woman who claims to be a spy. His life takes a drastic turn (leaving the audience at the edge of the seats) when the woman is found dead in his flat. The man flees London with the police on his trail. The play ends when the man returns to London to sabotage the villain’s plans.
