Astor place Theatre Information

The Astor Place is a classic and tradition Broadway theatre. Located Off Broadway.
The seating capacity is 300 seats with a Proscenium stage. For comfort, Restrooms are in the lobby level of the theatre.

The Astor place is not as well know since it is off Broadway. The Astor does play popular shows in an intimate setting. Which makes it a great place to see The Blue Man Group, as every seat is close and personal, the sound will have great acoustics.
The Astor place is air conditioned and does not offer wheelchair seating, or assisted listening systems for the hard of hearing.

Basic Facts

The Blue Man Group has maintained off Broadway success for over 12 years now, as they continue to push the envelope with their unique musical stylings, as well as add new scenes to their show.
Running time is 1 hour 45 minutes

Storyline

The Blue Man Group is part experimental music concert and part mime like theater entertainment. The music is that of an African bongo techno adventure, with acted out scenes on humorous topics.

The group has added three new segments for this run off Broadway, some satire on the state of today's pop music culture of lip synching super stars, a piece on coffee shop Internet houses, where no one talks to each other, but communicate to others via computer and a final new piece which follows the fascinating history of animation.
