Tarzan will be opening at the Richard Rogers theatre, the huge blockbuster Disney event is much anticapted and previews will begin in March
Julie Roberts will make her debute on Broadway, the eagerly awaited performance is set to open on March 28th. Robert's will star in Richard Greenberg's Three days of Rain at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater on Broadway and the show will have a short run for 12 weeks
Jan. 10 - A knockout cast will open the new production of Rabbit Hole, a play by David Lindsay-Abaire playing at the Biltmore Theater, with the opening night set for January 12th
Jan. 6 - American Airlines Theater will open the new Harry Connick Jnr Broadway debut with the "The Pajama Game" a revival musical which is set to open on January 19th.
New To Broadway
The Broadway Theater will be the home of The Color Purple, a Broadway Musical which has opened to outstanding reviews by audiences and critics alike. The stage adaptation comes from Alice Walker's Pulitzer prize winning novel of the same name. The production has received much PR from Oprah and of course her return to Late Night With David Letterman.
The Eugene O'Neill Theater will be the home for the new production of Sweeney Todd, a production from London's West End starring and award winning cast of Patti LuPone and Michael Cerveris. The show is one of the new year's most anticipated openings.
The Marquis Theater is set for Fall opening of Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical The Woman in White. This is another import from london's West End. Based on the outstanding novel by Wilkie Collins (A close friend to Dickens') and starring Michael Ball.
