March 28th Julie Roberts will make her debute on Broadway, the eagerly awaited performance is set to open on March 28th. Robert's will star in Richard Greenberg's Three days of Rain at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater on Broadway and the show will have a short run for 12 weeks

March 30th The Longacre Theater will welcome Lisa Kron with her well received production "Well," whichis set to open on March 30th. The show is said to be her best work to date and will leave yourecommending the show to everyone to see. High praises have come from many top critics, so it may besomething you want to put on your 'must see" list for the spring.

April 9th Festen will arrive this spring with an April 9th opening at the Music Box theater. Festen is DavidEldridge's adaptation of the award winning and highly praised cult film created by Thomas Vinterberg. Knownto be a dark comedy, the production has much anticipation and buzz for the Springtime opening in New York.

April 13th, Shining City will open on April 13th at the Biltmore Theater. The show is under the direction ofRobert Falls and stars the West Wing's Oliver Platt. The story tells the tale of a widow who claimsto see a ghost of his ex wife.

April 17th, Awake and Sing!will bring the work of Clifford Odet back to Broadway after a decade away from New Yorktheater. The show will open at the Belasco Theater on April 17th, and is directed by The Light In The Piazza's Barlett Sher.

April 20th, The Three Penny Opera Opens April 20th at Studio 54, considered a classic musical with a new all star cast.

April 23rd, History Boys The hit London production History Boys is opening at the Broadhurst theater on April 23. The play is Alan Bennett's story of a British boys grammar school filled with and all of the events of young boys rivalries and frustration. An examination of the education system and the story of history.Tarzan will be opening at the Richard Rogers theatre, the huge blockbuster Disney event is much anticapted and previews will begin in March.

April 25th, Lestat will open on April 25th with a preview on March 25th at the Palace Theater, the character created by Anne Rice willbe brought to Broadway by the legendary song writing duo of Elton john and Bernie Taupin. This will be the award winning musicians first collaboration of a Broadway production

April 27th, The Wedding Singer will open on April 27th and is being brought to Broadway by the same team which brought Hairspray to New York, which became a huge hit. The show will be playing at the Hirschfeld Theater and isbased on the popular 1998 comedy of the same name. The Wedding Singer will be a musical comedy staring Stephen Lynch and Laura Benanti.

April 30th, Hot Feet opens April 30th at the Hilton Theatre, billed a a heart stopping dance musical, the show is the creation of Tony-nominated dancer, actor and choreographer Maurice Hines. The show all stars the Earth Wind and Fire member Maurice White.

May 4th, Faith Healer will open on May 4th at the Booth Theater, starring Ralph Fiennes and Cherry Jones (Tony Award Winner), being announced as one of the most renowned drams of our time.

May 7th, The Caine Mutiny Court Marshall will open on Broadway on May 7th at the Lyceum Theater, the showwill star the friends TV show star David Schwimmer. The show tells the dramatic story of a WW II navy Lieutenanton trial for mutiny. David Schwimmer has already played a military role in Band Of Brothers, and excellentHBO series telling the story of the troop which stormed all the way to Hilters place of hiding. Although criticsof New York gave him very harsh reviews for his acting we will see if he can win the tough New York theater critics over.

Opened Shows

Rabbit Hole Already opened on February 2nd is receiving high acclaim for it's acting. The new play byDavid Lindsay-Abaire is playing at the Biltmore Theater. The show stars Cynthia Nixon and Tyne Daly. The show has avery short limited run which will close on March 26th.

The Pajama Game opened on February 23rd at the American Airlines Theater, the production is Harry Connick Jnr'sBroadway debut. The critics are already giving very high remarks, acclaim and praise for the show.

Ring Of Fire which has opened on February 8th includes the songs and music of the "Man in Black" himself, thelegendary Johnny Cash, based on the huge movie hit of the same name, the show is currently playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theater.

New To Broadway

The Broadway Theater will be the home of The Color Purple, a Broadway Musical which has opened to outstanding reviews by audiences and critics alike. The stage adaptation comes from Alice Walker's Pulitzer prize winning novel of the same name. The production has received much PR from Oprah and of course her return to Late Night With David Letterman.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater will be the home for the new production of Sweeney Todd, a production from London's West End starring and award winning cast of Patti LuPone and Michael Cerveris. The show is one of the new year's most anticipated openings.

The Marquis Theater is set for Fall opening of Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical The Woman in White. This is another import from london's West End. Based on the outstanding novel by Wilkie Collins (A close friend to Dickens') and starring Michael Ball.
