The Burn The Floor Broadway production is the kind of dance show that everybody will love to watch, including those who do not know anything about dance and cannot even tell the difference between an entrecote and an entrechat. The show has recently opened on Broadway and is running in the Longacre Theatre.

The show is a complete dance theatre in its own, as it is acrobatic and romantic, sensual and lyrical, and comic and dramatic – a perfect theatrical package. The show has a small band of twenty dancers who perform eleven different types of dance on the stage lead by a male or a female singer.

Ballroom Dances With A Difference

The eleven dances that the Burn The Floor Broadway show consists of are basically ballroom dances, but the way Jason Gilkison, the director and choreographer of the show, has conceived them, they fabulously incorporate elements of modern, acrobatic, and balletic dance. The excellent choreography is another thing that makes the show much more special.

The audience witnesses some exceptional difficult steps, including gravity-defying parallel leaps, separations and re-joinings, clinging to various parts of a partner, unusual lifts, complex intertwining, and tumbling or sailing over the other elegantly. Moreover, it is not just about the performance. The dancers do not just dance superbly but they also offer a great viewing experience for the audience with their looks, bearing, and the ability to interact with partners. Though all the dancers in Burn The Floor are stunning to look at, but the probably the most impressive among the men is Sasha Farber and the most stunning among women is the blonde Peta Murgatroyd.

Creativity At Its Best

Though most praises go to Gilkison, but the credit also goes to Rebecca Tapia and Ricky Rojas - the two singers who unite the dancers in perfect harmony with Spanish and English songs. Besides that, the lighting by Rick Belzer adds a caressing luster to the show. The draperied stage design by Ray Klausen is chastely elegant. Janet Hine has designed the costumes, which are fanciful, droll, and sexy.

Burn The Floor is a dazzling Latin and ballroom dance revue. The band of international dance-sport champions have made it very special, colorful, and entertaining with brilliant performances. The cast of these champion Latin and ballroom dancers includes Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – both these artists have gained fame through the popular TV show "Dancing With the Stars".

The stylish array of couple and ensemble numbers include rumba and samba, cha-cha, some snazzy quickstepping, passionate paso dobles, a fiery tango, dreamy Viennese waltzing, and beautiful standard waltzes. The vocalists Rebecca Tapia and Ricky Rojas have made all these dances exceptionally fabulous to watch with their invigorating live music. The show has already got scorching reviews from NY Post, NY Times, and many others. You can View All Available tickets for Burn The Floor Broadway online by clicking the link!
