The 1960’s Broadway show Bye Bye Birdie is back with a bang. This musical is based on the book written by Michael Stewart. Lee Adams has given the lyrics and Charles Strouse has composed the music. This Broadway show has been a huge success and has seen several revivals and sequels. In fact, it has also been produced as a film in 1963 and later in 1995; the play was produced as a television serial. It has won several awards and nominations under the Tony Awards category. The Storyline

The Bye Bye Birdie revival is the story of a rock and roll superstar and his agent. The agent has invested a lot of money in promoting the career of this rock star - Conrad Birdie. The play gets its name from the character. The agent is in severe debt and has built hopes for the album. The success of the rock star’s album will decide the fate of his agent. With an objective to repay his debts and recover the money, the agent plans a publicity stunt to increase the sales of the album. What follows is a whole lot of emotional drama that affects several personal relationships. The other characters involved in this play are the agent’s mother, his girlfriend, the girl used for publicity stunt, her boyfriend and the rock star’s beloved. Bye Bye Birdie is a complete entertainer. Do not miss the revival series as it is a hilarious Broadway show.
