David Henry Hwang Brings A New Hilarious Play To Broadway!

Chinglish tickets are available for Tony winner David Henry Hwang's latest work now in previews on Broadway. First preview began on October 11, 2011 at the Longacre Theatre. The comedy is scheduled for an official opening night on October 27. The hilarious story is centered around an American businessman desperate to create new enterprises in China. The production is under the direction of Leigh Silverman. The reviews have been very positive and "Chinglish" to be a promising new comedic play for the fall season on Broadway!

Chinglish tickets are not an invitation to stereotypical comedies. Hwang's work does not focus on the 'ease" of basing the characters nor comedy within stereotypically accepted mainstream ideals. In other words, the American is not an arrogant idiot, and the Chinese is not all about work all the time. It is through this medium of not pulling out the standard tricks in which both the characters and comedic moments are able to build. The play is able then to build on it's shrewd, clever and razor-sharp scenes, which will have any audience in stitches! Mr. Hwang's new play can capture an important moment between two countries. Both are struggling to work together and learn about each other but with so many cultural differences, it becomes difficult. "Chinglish" is an inspired and hilarious look at this relationship.

Chinglish got its start at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, IL. The early production ran from between June 18, 2011, until July 24, 2011. The "Goodman" production gained a quick audience and many positive reviews. After the productions, Chicago run in summer the play was quickly added to the fall 2011 Broadway lineup at the Longacre Theatre. The cast includes Gary Wilmes, Jennifer Lim, Angela Lin,Christine Lin, Stephen Pucci, Johnny Wu, and Larry Lei Zhang.

Chinglish tickets are now on sale for all previews and performances there after. The new, fresh and hilarious play is sure to gain a Broadway audience and become one of fall's surprise hits. The production is currently scheduled for an open-need run. For anyone looking for some laughs along the Great White Way this play is it. Filled with hilarious moments and delivered in a truly inspiring way! A play which is sure to turn some heads over the coming months.
