Pulitzer Prize Winning Drama Comes To Broadway!

Clybourne Park tickets are available for Bruce Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning play on Broadway. The play is the highly anticipated response to Lorraine Hansberry's play A Raisin in the Sun. The work played off-Broadway in 2010 and enjoyed a stint in the UK before opening on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre on April 19, 2012. The story is loosely based on true events and playing a short limited-engagement.

Clybourne Park is a continuation of Lorraine Hansberry's play A Raisin in the Sun. The play Debuted on Broadway in 1959 telling the story of a black family's experiences in Woodlawn neighborhood. The story is based upon the real-life lawsuit of (Hansberry v. Lee, 311 U.S. 32 (1940). "A Raisin In The Sun," tells of an African-American family purchasing a house in an all-white neighborhood. Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning play goes on to tell of how the neighborhood became an African-American community, and now a white family purchases the same home in 2009. The play is a humorous look at current race relations middle class hypocrisies in America.

Clybourne Park tickets sold for the Off-Broadway production at Playwrights Horizons on February 21, 2010. The show ran until March 21, 2010, by director Pam MacKinnon. The production was picked up in the UK playing at the Royal Court Theatre in London during August of 2010. Dominic Cooke directed the play, is also the artistic director for the Royal Court Theatre. In 2011, "Clybourne Park," won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play was announced to head to Broadway for a strict 16-week limited-engagement.
