The Adventures Of "Boeing, Boeing" Continue On Broadway!Don't Dress For Dinner tickets are on sale for Mark Camoletti's new hilarious sequel on Broadway. The story is a continuation of Camoletti's previous farce success of "Boeing Boeing." The popular French playwright follows up with more witty humor in the new two-act play. The show is scheduled to open at the American Airlines Theatre on April 26, 2012, for a limited run. For those who had a chance to see "Boeing Boeing, and enjoyed it are sure to find "Don't Dress For Dinner," equally entertaining.
Marc Camoletti's most-recent work enjoyed runs in France then London before being picked up for Broadway. The French production ran a bit over two years under the title "Pyjamas Pour Six." The English rights were soon picked up by London's producer Mark Furness that hired playwright Robin Hawdon to do a complete rewrite of the play. The production then ran in the West End at the Apollo Theatre. The play eventually came to the Papermill Playhouse, Millburn, New Jersey back in 1993 for a small regional run. Overall critical response was enthusiastic.
The Broadway production began in previews from March 30, 2012 from the Roundabout Theatre production. The play is set for a limited-engagement and closing on June 17, 2012. The production is directed by John Tillinger, with a star-studded cast of Ben Daniels, Patricia Kalember, Adam James, Jennifer Tilly, David Aron Damane, and Spencer Kayden.
The two-act play is filled with comedic moments and entertaining characters. Don’t Dress For Dinner tickets provide a provoking romp in the French countryside featuring mistaken identities, spilled drinks and plenty of antics along the way. The story's setting is a renovated French farmhouse about a two-hour drive from Paris. When Jacqueline makes plans to visit her mother, her husband Bernard encourages his mistress, a Parisian model, Suzanne and best mate Robert over for the weekend. Bernard plans a wonderful weekend which includes employing a top-notch chef for the dinner party. When Jacqueline learns Robert—her confidential lover—is coming to visit, she decides to stay after all. The dinner party soon develops into a deliciously elaborate matter.
Don't Dress For Dinner tickets are on sale for all performances at the American Airlines Theatre. The short run is set for final curtain on June 17, 2012. The new play has garnered the positive critical response overall. Many critics state they felt the story was better constructed then the previous "Boeing Boeing."
