Leguizamo Brings His One-Man-Show To Broadway!

John Leguizamo brings his one-man-show to Broadway with Ghetto Klown tickets. The Hollywood actor/comedian presents a stage show exercising his talents in satire and physical comedy. The play takes a raw and revealing look at his life in Hollywood. Ghetto Klown has been in previews at the Lyceum Theater since February 21,2011 with an official opening night set for March 22. The play is scheduled for a 12 week run on Broadway.

Ghetto Klown tickets treat the audience to an inside look at Leguizamo's life. The story presents his juvenile memories in Queens to his start as a performer in the outrageous 1980s new wave theater landscape. The show moves onto his move into Hollywood playing aside to some of the big screens biggest stars. Along the way Leguizamo gets in battles on movie sets, fights his best friend, is almost sued by his father and thrown out of the house by his wife. As the work progresses through the audience realizes that perhaps Leguizamo's biggest battle is with himself and his perfectionism. The play uses physical comedy and satire to be effective, something fans of the actor have come to adore. As Mr. Leguizamo quotes his goal was "To go more raw, more honest, deeper and wilder than I'd ever done before. I tried to be as ruthless with myself in that as I could." Most fans and the audience as a whole will likely agree with his assessment.

Leguizamo is no stranger to the stage nor Broadway. In 1991 his wrote and participated in his work "Mambo Mouth" which ran off-Broadway. In 1998 he made his Broadway debut in "Freak." The one-man-show explored his life experience with his family. The work was later produced into a film by HBO under director Spike Lee. The production went on to win the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show.
