Glengarry Glen Ross tells a story covering a two day period in which four Chicago real estate agents become desperate enough to sink to immoral behavior to land sales. The four agents will stoop to any tactic needed in order to sell very undesirable properties to unsuspecting potential buyers. Nothing is off limits including unethical lies and flattery all the way to illegal bribes and threats. The play was inspired by Mamet's brief time in Chicago real estate during the 1960's. The work loosely draws from the playwright's personal experiences.
Any chance for theater fans to catch Al Pacino on the Broadway stage is a real treat. To be able to catch such a legend on Broadway starring in a Pulitzer Prize winning David Mamet work really makes "Glengarry Glen Ross," one the years "must see" shows. Talk in the town is that Mr. Pacino is delivering a strong a inspired performance. Unfortunately the production is a strict limited-engagement , so act quick to be sure not to miss the wonderful new addition to Broadway.
