Shawn Corey Carter a.k.a Jay-Z (born on 4.12.1969) had a humble beginning in the music world. He was born and brought-up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. Jay-Z traded school-life with a life of drug dealing and so dropped out of school early. However, he mended his ways and followed his passion in music.
