The musical is the tale of another super hit act-The Four seasons. The band ruled the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. The band comprised of four boys whose has reached almost iconic staus. They boys are Frankie Valli and Nick Massi from Newark, Tommy DeVito from Belleville and Bob Gaudio from Bronx. Their music made the band popular as one of the chief pop sensations in American musical history. The Four Seasons were known to churn out hits after super hits time and again. They themselves wrote and recorded their own songs. Their music came out directly from the heart and thus it was different from the usual stuff. Jersey Boys sold a whopping 178 million records.

Jersey Boys, a genre by themselves, were called as Jukesicals, which means a clever intertwining of biography and songs. The sound is novel and innovative. The band had fanatic fan followings and all the tickets were sold out. In fact the fans do not mind seeing it over and over again. There are people who have memorized every single song and dialogues but still go and see the show time after time. The play stars a bunch of talented actors all of whom have put up great performances. Christian Hoff plays the role of Tommy DeVito. Before the production happened, he had won accolades for another musical called 'The Who's Tommy'. Daniel Reichard has played the role of Bob Gaudio. He made his first appearance in Broadway with Jersey Boys. He was before seen in an off-Broadway show called Forbidden Broadway and The Thing About Men. The role of Nick Massi has been played by J. Robert Spencer. He too made his first appearance with this show. Last but surely not the least, John Lloyd Young portrays the character of Frankie Valli. This is again his debut performance on the Broadway.

The show is based on the book written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Bob Gaudio is the talent behind the breathtaking music of the play. The lyrics are penned down by Bob Crewe. The director is Des McAnuff who has 'The Who's Tommy' to his credit. The lightings and projections are done by Michael Clark. The hit musical was applauded for its brilliance, performance, music and dance on the first night itself. The show is believed to make more than $2 million in ticket sales. It is a must see. All the actors have done justice to their role and need to be given a big round of applause.
