Jude Law Hamlet is getting rave reviews. Jude Law is returning to Broadway for the first time after his Tony Award nominated performance in Jean Cocteau’s Indiscretions (Les Parents Terribles). With the reviews that he has received, there is no doubt that he might be up for more Tony Award nominations.

This English actor is well known for his award winning roles in “Cold Mountain” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley.” Ever since it was announced that Jude Law will essay the role of Hamlet in the Donmar Warehouse Production at the West End, tickets have got sold out.

Hamlet is not the first theater performance by Jude Law. In fact, in his early teens he focused on theater completely. His first London debut was in 1992 with The Fastest Clock In The Universe. The play was voted as the Best New Play of 1992 by Time Out magazine. His other theater performances include “Live Like Pigs,” “Death Of A Salesman,” and “Les Parents Terribles.”

For his role in “Les Parents Terribles” he was nominated for Olivier Award as Best Newcomer. The play moved to Broadway in 1995 with a new name - Indiscretions.

With Jude Law Hamlet he is returning to Broadway for the first time after his last performance in 1995.

Jude Law has been directed by Michael Grandage. He had wowed theater goers before with “Frost/Nixon.”

Reading some of the reviews of the play leaves no doubt that the play is a hit among both theater critics and theater goers. Review by Elysa Gardner of USA Today states “Excellence, thy name is Hamlet on the Broadway stage.”
