Next To Normal Review - The Hip, Broadway Musical

This is basically a musical about mental illness with a rock soundtrack. There is not anybody that could set the stage on fire more than Alice Ripley, as Diane, the mother.
It is no surprise that Next to Normal has been nominated for several Tony Awards. This show has its own twists and exciting endings that almost everyone can relate to. Entertainment Weekly delivered a Next to Normal review stating that it was ‘Grade A: Agonizingly Beautiful.’
This is a musical that started off at Arena Stage and was eventually re-worked and re-vamped. A couple of months later, Next to Normal made it to Broadway. The Washington Post gave yet another great, Next to Normal review that beamed off all the characters stating this musical is definitely a great show to vote as one of the best, and that everyone should ‘check it off on the voter’s ballot.’
