The production has opened on Broadway with much anticipation, ticket sales were hot as they come for awhile, but now the show seems to have slowed down. Perhaps all of the die hard fans of the original movie, which has gained a cult following over the years have all finally gone to see the show.

More likely some of the Christmas shows have stolen the show from the "must see" musicals in New York. With Radio City Musical Hall in full swing, and the Nutcracker, most audiences are flocking to get into the holiday spirit. It will be interesting to see which shows come out on top after the holiday season.

With The Lady In White and The Color Purple opened and ready to attract large audiences based on the critical acclaim, press releases and media buzz.
