Broadway Musical

Monty Python’s Spamalot tickets are available right here if you’re interested in watching this musical. The 2005 Tony Award winner for The Best Musical is playing at different locations all across the country.

The hit musical is “inspired” by the super hit comedy ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’, which is considered nothing short of a classic these days. As the musical describes itself, “it is lovingly ripped off” from the 1975 Monty Python movie. Is it silly? Of course it is. But its silliness is bringing in laughs from almost the entire nation and everyone wants to see what Monty Python’s Spamalot is all about. Spamalot tickets are selling out fast because this musical is nothing short of a smash hit.

‘Spamalot’ is, but of course, a parody of King Arthur’s beloved ‘Camelot’. So, you guessed it. Spamalot, once again tells us the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Except, when you buy Spamalot tickets – you should probably leave the somber historical mood behind at home. So while King Arthur (and his knights)’s quest for the Holy Grail is the basic story; you will be entertained by gorgeous girls, killer rabbits and even the French.

The musical is similar to the movie because it parodies Arthurian Legend as irreverently as possible. So if you’re someone who takes history too seriously, I’d recommend you watch Spamalot and let out those laughs busy choking inside you! But Spamalot doesn’t stop its parody there and rather irreverently (yes, again) parodies the Broadway theater too!

No, the name ‘Spamalot’ isn’t a by-product of our computer generation but in fact is “inspired” by the movie again. Remember the line “we eat ham, and jam, and Spam a lot”? Well, need I say more? Are you laughing yet?

The Broadway musical previewed in February 2005 at New York’s Shubert Theater and officially opened in March. The show was sold out then and four years later, is still running to packed houses. It has also been produced in Las Vegas, London’s West End, Australia, Germany and Spain.

Spamalot has been nominated for 14 Tony Awards and has won three of them – for Best Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical. Speaking of direction, this musical is directed by Mike Nichols and is written by Eric Idle, a member of the “original” Monty Python team.

The two-act musical is a complete laugh riot. You’ll be glad you watched Spamalot because I’m sure many of you don’t even remember the last time Broadway put a stitch in your side. Book your tickets as early as possible because you don’t want to miss out what is described as “the world’s oldest musical”! Sing, dance, laugh and be merry with Spamalot!

This latest King Arthur tale is doing incredibly well and if you’re a theater lover, you shouldn’t miss out on Spamalot. Shop from home and buy Spamalot tickets online and you’ll hold guaranteed seats at the next show. Choose the time, show and the seats that you’d like and either print your tickets or get your Spamalot tickets delivered to you.
