Speed the Plow Broadway premiered at the Royale Theater on May 3, 1988 in a production by the Lincoln Center Theater. The play closed on December 31, 2008 with around 279 shows. The cast featured were Joe Mantegna (Gould), Ron Silver (Fox) and Madonna as Karen. The show was nominated for the best play award and for the best direction. Silver won the best actor award.
