Set around summer months of 1953, tells the story of a mother and daughter who are on vacation within the beautiful countryside of Italy. The young daughters meets a handsome man who she is taken with, and the mother spends her time trying to keep the two apart. Based on the novella by Elizabeth Spencer, the production has become a critics choice for an exiting Broadway show.

The Show was Winner of six 2005 Tony Awards including Best Original Score Best Performance by a Leading Actress Musical Best Scenic Design Best Costume Design Best Lighting Design Best Orchestrations. The creators include a book by Craig Lucas, musical score by Adam Guettel, the production based on the novel by Elizabeth Spencer and under the direction of Bartlett Sher. The Light In The Piazza stars Victoria Clark as Margaret Johnson Kelli O'Hara as Clara Johnson andMatthew Morrison as Fabrizio.

With a handful of awards, critical appraise and audience expectations, this original musical has quickly become a must see on Broadway.
