A brain surgeon finds himself in a brainy mess. This is “Young Frankenstein”, the story of a famous brain surgeon (who is also a professor) from New York. He is Frederick Frankenstein. He inherits a laboratory as well as a castle from his grandfather, Victor Von Frankenstein, who lived in Transylvania.

Victor Von Frankenstein was a crazy man and now, after his death, it is up to Frederick to either continue his bizarre experiments that involved reanimating the dead, or shift to other city and start a fresh life as a brain surgeon. So, what’s his decision ultimately? You will have to see the show to know this part!

Psst…there is also this lovely lab assistant, Inga, who likes Frederick. Watch her trying to woo our brain surgeon!

“Young Frankenstein” is loaded with thrilling stuff and promises to entertain you to no end. The creepy castle as well as the shadowy associations of Transylvania Heights will make you grip your seat tighter! The show consists of some grating numbers like "He Vas My Boyfriend,” "The Transylvania Mania," and the unforgettable "Putting on the Ritz."

This Broadway show is based on the successful movie released in 1974. “Young Frankenstein” will open at Broadway’s Hilton Theatre on November 8, 2007. The show’s previews have started from October 11. Remember “The Producers”? The creative team of this super hit show, which has grabbed a Tony Award, will re-unite in “Young Frankenstein”. Susan Stroman has directed and choreographed this show with utmost care. Mel Brooks has given lyrics and music and proved his immense talent. The story is co-written by Thomas Meehan as well as Mel Brooks.

Roger Bart is the brainy Dr. Frederick Frankenstein in the show. Bart is well-known for his dramatic performance in the show “You’re A Good Man”, where he played Snoopy. The performance had bagged him a Tony Award. In addition to this, he is famous for originating the role of Carmen Ghia in “The Producers”.

Sutton Foster is the sexy Inga in “Young Frankenstein”. Foster is Broadway’s darling. She gained huge applause for her role of Millie Dillmount in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”. The character bagged her a Tony Award. Foster’s latest role was in the show “The Drowsy Chaperone” as Janet.

Shuler Hensley plays the role of The Monster. Hensley is famous for Judd Fry, the character in “Oklahoma!” This show had won a Tony Award. Hensley’s latest performance can be seen as Kerchak in Disney’s “Tarzan”.

Megan Mullally plays the role of Elizabeth. She is appreciated all over for her award-winning acting in “Will & Grace” as the character of Karen Walker. Besides these fine actors, there is the terrific Christopher Fitzgerald, who plays Igor, and Fred Applegate, who plays Kemp.
